In the mid-90s, the Netherlands was really one big rave. Gabber ruled — shaved heads under bucket hats, Aussie tracksuits, giant sneakers, and dance floors full of hugging strangers.

Out of that glorious chaos came Nakatomi, produced by Danski & Delmundo — the hitmakers who would later unleash global sensations Vengaboys and Alice Deejay.

Nakatomi stormed the Dutch Top 40 with their debut single “Free” (#17), follow-up “Sing” (#5), and the immortal anthem “Children of The Night” (#2). Alongside fellow heroes Party Animals, Paul Elstak, Charly & Theo, and Critical Mass, they caught the unstoppable lightning of the gabber era — pounding kicks and sugar-rush melodies flying by at 180 beats per minute.
